Chando
gives a ring to Jalad to present to Chapla on their
“Suhagraat”. Chapla gets upset that
Jalad forgot to buy the ring himself. Chapla strongly
resents the fondness everyone has for Chando in
the Mani household. Chando tries her best to placate
a deeply upset Mani. Chapla plans a “Goa Honeymoon”
with Jalad without seeking Mani’s permission.
Chapla misbehaves with Chando over dinner –
Mani remonstrates. Chapla gets even more upset.
Jalad and Chapla have a big fight over Chando, in
their room. Chando senses Chapla’s resentment
and decides to stay out of her way.
