Chando
writes to Chapla praising Mani, Jalad as well as
Dinesh. Leela comes across the letter and starts
scheming thinking that if a Dinesh / Chando match
is arranged the way for a Chapla / Jalad alliance
will be cleared. Dinesh’s sister Kumkum is
introduced by Mani to Chando. Jalad and Kumkum’s
chemistry creates a doubt in Chando’s mind.
Kumkum invites everyone at Dinesh’s home for
dinner. Chando is relieved to realize that Jalad
and Kumkum share a brother – sister relationship.
Chando purposely losses a game of carom to buck
up Jalad. Kumkum teases Dinesh that he is in love
with Chando. Dinesh meets Jalad to gauge his feelings
for Chando. Jalad says, he has never thought of
marrying Chando. Chando overhears and is shattered.
